On Wednesday, May 10, 2017 Diskominfo Provsu held a coffee morning activity with stakeholders in order to "Optimize Sectoral Statistics Autonomy and Statistical Data Synergies in North Sumatra Provincial Government". In this event, BPS of North Sumatra Province represented by IPDS Head, Bob Setiabudi had the opportunity to be a resource person by presenting the presentation entitled "Strengthening Activities of Statistics Implementation". Hopefully with this activity can further strengthen cooperation between BPS with stakeholders to be able to realize one data. Where BPS appealed that stakeholders conducting statistical activities can report their activities to get recommendations from BPS. BPS has a role as the organizer of basic statistical activities and also coordinates the implementation of sectoral statistics and special statistics activities. Therefore, a special agency established coordinating the sectoral statistical activities in the local government environment concerned. It functions as a data guardian who will receive recommendations from BPS in every sectoral statistical activity. This needs special attention so that we can provide explanation to the agency that performs the statistical activities. Basically the agency as the data guardian who manages the implementation of sectoral statistics, but which holds the data collection is still by the service that requires the data.
