Sakernas 2019 Processing Training

The National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas) is one of the surveys that has been held by BPS since 1976. Sakernas is specifically designed to collect data that can describe the general state of employment between periods of enumeration. Sakernas results data have been widely used by various groups, both at home and abroad. The questionnaire used in this survey was the SAK19.AK questionnaire. Therefore an integrated and interactive system is needed so that the Sakernas processing can run smoothly and be completed on time so that it can produce the desired data. The stages of processing generally consist of two stages, namely pre-computer and post-computer. Both of these stages must be done well to be able to produce quality data. The pre-computer processing stage consists of receiving batching, editing coding and document storage. While the post-computer stage consists of processing data entry and processing data with validation. In order for data processing activities to take place properly in accordance with the established standard operational procedure (SOP), human resources are needed to understand the stages of processing as a whole well, so that training in processing is needed.

On 12 to 15 February 2019 the Statistics of Sumatera Utara Province(BPS) conducted training activities for 2019 Sakernas processing officers at Cambridge Hotel Medan. The training involved all the Heads / Responsible of the IPDS Section and the Social Statistics Section of the Regency / City BPS and several staff in the Statistics of Sumatera Utara  Province –BPS as participants. The National Instructor who provided training materials came from the Statistics of Sumatera Utara  Province –BPS.
