Komisi Pengawas Persaingan Usaha (KPPU)'s visit

Head of Regional Office I of the Business Competition Supervisory Commission (KPPU) covering the areas of Aceh, Sumatera Utara, Sumatera Barat, Riau and Kep. Riau, Ridho Pamungkas and his team visited the BPS-Statistics of Sumatera Utara Province Office, Wednesday (19/10/2022).

This inaugural visit was received directly by the head of BPS-Statistics of Sumatera Utara Province, Nurul Hasanudin and his staff in the office of the Head of BPS-Statistics of Sumatera Utara Province. At the meeting, Ridho Pamungkas conveyed the purpose and objectives of the visit, namely in the context of making efforts to synergize in building a database. This is related to the Provision, Utilization, and Development of Statistical Data and Information in the Business Competition and Partnership Sector. Ridho also expressed his desire to know more about the calculation of inflation and the survey methodology conducted by BPS and hoped that BPS-Statistics of Sumatera Utara Province would be willing to be a resource person.

Nurul Hasanudin welcomed the arrival of the KPPU Team for Regional Office 1 and supported KPPU's wishes regarding sharing knowledge on the procedure for calculating inflation to the KPPU team. Nurul Hasanudin also conveyed to what extent the limits of BPS-Statistics authority related to surveys conducted by BPS-Statistics in terms of calculating inflation. He also suggested strategic steps that could be taken to realize database development. At the end of his presentation, Nurul Hasanudin said that BPS-Statistics of Sumatera Utara Province was ready to support the activities carried out by KPPU.

The visit ended with a photo greeting ST2023.
