BPS-Statistics of Sumatera Utara Province held a Regional Concurrent Consultation (KONSERDA) of GRDP in Business Fields and Expenditures for 2022 on 6 - 11 February 2023 at the Grandhika Setiabudi Hotel, Medan. The concert was attended by the Provincial and Regency/City PDRB drafting teams throughout Sumatera Utara and was officially opened by the Head of BPS-Statistics of Sumatera Utara Province, Nurul Hasanudin.
The purpose of this event is to carry out simultaneous reconciliation activities for regional GRDP in districts/cities in North Sumatra Province according to business field and expenditure, namely increasing the competence of those in charge of activities in districts/cities, especially related to the process of compiling GRDP in districts/cities in North Sumatra, providing a forum for joint discussions related to issues - the latest issue that can enrich regional economic phenomena spatially, as an effort towards "zero discrepancy" which is expected to be achieved in the process of calculating district/city and provincial GRDP.
GRDP is one of the economic indicators that illustrate how the economic activity of a region both from supply and use with various derivative indicators. GRDP is presented at the national level (GDP), province to district/city throughout Indonesia. The process of calculating GRDP is carried out at each level independently using their respective worksheets (LK). Undoubtedly, the lowest level of cumulative GRDP should not differ from the value of the level above, which is known as "Zero Discrepancy". To achieve this, an alignment process is needed between districts/cities and provinces. Taking place at the Grandhika Hotel in Medan, a Regional Concurrent Consultation (Konserda) activity was held for Regency/City GRDP in North Sumatra in 2022. The concert was carried out in 2 (two) sessions:
1. PDRB Concert for Business Fields (6-9 February 2023)
2. Expenditure PDRB Conservation (10-12 February 2023)
To increase the insight of the PDRB compiler, this time the Concerta presented 3 (three) sources, both internal and external to BPS:
