PASADA Activity: Assistance and Capacity Building on the Collaborative Use of Sectoral Statistics in Sumatera Utara (Kompas Sumut) at the Youth and Sports Office.

On Tuesday, April 14, 2026, the Head of BPS-Statistics Sumatera Utara Province, Asim Saputra, served as a keynote speaker in the Assistance and Capacity Building activity on the Collaborative Use of Sectoral Statistics in Sumatera Utara (KOMPAS SUMUT). The event was held at the Hall of the Youth and Sports Office of Sumatera Utara Province.

In his presentation, Asim Saputra explained the implementation of Big Data for sectoral statistics through the PASADA Portal, the role of Regional Government Organizations (OPD) as data producers, and the procedures for inputting sectoral data tables into the Backend SDI application of Sumatera Utara Province. This initiative aims to enhance OPD understanding of their roles and responsibilities in supporting the successful implementation of PASADA.

On the same occasion, Asim Saputra also delivered a socialization session on the 2026 Economic Census, which will take place from May 1 to August 31, 2026. This session aimed to inform that strong support and active participation from local governments, associations, business actors, institutions, academics, journalists/media, and the wider community are essential to ensure the success of the 2026 Economic Census.
