On Monday, June 22, 2026, BPS-Statistics Sumatera Utara Province organized an Anak Medan mOnday Reaction (AMOR) session at the 5th Floor Hall of BPS-Statistics Sumatera Utara Province. The theme of the event was “Pantun Bukan Sembarang Pantun!” (Pantun Is More Than Just Rhymes!), presented by three staff members of BPS-Statistics Sumatera Utara Province: Hadziq Shubhan, Fahriza Rianda, and Muhammad Riza.
During the session, participants gained extensive knowledge about pantun, a traditional form of Malay poetry. The materials covered a wide range of topics, including the history of pantun, its variations across different regions of Indonesia, local terms for pantun in Sumatera Utara Province, various types of pantun, examples of pantun, and many other related insights.
Following the presentation, a pantun challenge was held to help participants practice and enhance their ability to compose and recite pantun. Three participants were selected through a spin wheel to take part in the challenge.
Participants who successfully completed the pantun challenge received prizes from the presenters as a form of appreciation for their performance. The prizes were presented by Dadan Supriadi, Head of the General Affairs Division of BPS-Statistics Sumatera Utara Province.
The next session featured a sharing discussion with the Head of BPS-Statistics Sumatera Utara Province, Asim Saputra. During the session, he emphasized that the success of the 2026 Economic Census depends on the role and contribution of all employees of BPS-Statistics Sumatera Utara Province. Therefore, all staff members were encouraged to actively participate and provide their full support to ensure the successful implementation of the Economic Census.
The event then continued with a Work Culture Internalization session delivered by Jeffry Monang Pandiangan, Associate Expert Human Resources Analyst. He highlighted that a strong work culture fosters a professional, collaborative, innovative, and results-oriented work environment, which is essential for achieving organizational goals effectively.
