The Second Phase of Statistics Agent Development Program 2026

In an effort to enhance statistical literacy and promote the use of data in a more engaging and understandable manner, BPS-Statistics Sumatera Utara Province, through the Statistics Corner (Pojok Statistik), organized the Second Phase of the Statistics Agent Development Program virtually on Tuesday, June 30, 2026. The program carried the theme “Beyond the Numbers: Data Anti Boring with Storytelling.”

This activity aimed to strengthen the capacity of Statistics Agents in communicating data effectively through a storytelling approach. Participants were encouraged not only to understand figures and statistical indicators but also to transform data into informative, engaging, and easily understandable stories for the wider community.

Through this program, participants gained insights into the importance of high-quality data as a foundation for decision-making and development. They also learned techniques for presenting data through compelling narratives that can enhance public understanding and awareness of various development issues.

The Second Phase of the Statistics Agent Development Program represents one of the commitments of BPS-Statistics Sumatera Utara Province to foster a generation that is data-literate, communicative, and capable of becoming agents of change within society. It is expected that the Statistics Agents will play an active role in promoting the importance of accurate and high-quality data to support the realization of an advanced and competitive Indonesia.
