Coordination Meeting of Governors across Sumatra

On Wednesday, September 9, 2026, the Head of BPS-Statistics Sumatera Utara Province, Asim Saputra, attended a series of events held as part of the 32nd Indonesia-Malaysia-Thailand Growth Triangle (IMT-GT) Ministerial Meeting, which took place from September 7–10, 2026, in Sumatera Utara Province.

The series of events also included the 23rd IMT-GT Chief Ministers’ and Governors’ Forum (CMGF) and the Coordination Meeting of Governors across Sumatra. These events served as a strategic momentum to strengthen cooperation, coordination, and synergy among IMT-GT members, particularly in promoting economic development and regional development.

The IMT-GT cooperation involves 10 provinces on the island of Sumatra as part of efforts to strengthen connectivity and cross-regional collaboration. Through these forums, closer synergy is expected to be established between regional governments and stakeholders in supporting economic growth and enhancing the competitiveness of the Sumatra region.
