Production Growth of Large Medium Manufacturing Industry of Sumatera Utara Province Quarter IV-2018 rose by 0.93 percent (y-on-y). The average growth of Large Medium Industries in Sumatera Utara in 2018 was 4.01 percent while in 2017 it was -3.11 percent. While the growth of Sumatera Utara Small Micro Industry in 2018 was 7.90 percent, while in 2017 it was 0.66 percent.

Abstract

• Growth in the production of the Large and Medium Manufacturing Industries of Sumatera Utara Province in the fourth quarter of 2018 rose by 0.93 percent compared to the same period in 2017 (y-on-y). This increase was mainly due to the increase in the production of paper and paper products industries by 51.99 percent, the base metal industry by 24.53 percent and the rubber industry, rubber and plastic goods by 17.65 percent.

• The growth of production of the large and medium (q-to-q) manufacturing industry of Sumatera Utara Province in the fourth quarter of 2018 rose by 2.62 percent compared to the production of large and medium manufacturing industries in the third quarter of 2018. The type of industry that experienced an increase was industry non-metal excavated goods amounting to 16.79 percent, chemical industry and goods from chemicals amounting to 11.45 percent, and the pharmaceutical industry, chemical drug products and traditional medicines at 6.97 percent.

• Growth in the production of micro and small manufacturing industries in Sumatera Utara Province in quarter IV-2018 increased by 11.96 percent compared to the same period in 2017 (y-on-y). The types of industries that have increased include repairs and installation of machinery and equipment by 30.72 percent, chemicals and goods from chemicals by 24.91 percent, and the leather industry, goods from leather and footwear by 22.80 percent.

• Growth in the production of micro and small manufacturing industries in Sumatera Utara Province in quarter IV-2018 rose by 3.70 percent compared to quarter III-2018 (q-to-q). The types of industries that experienced increases included repairs and installation of machinery and equipment by 26.36 percent, other transportation equipment industries at 22.81 percent, leather industry, leather goods and footwear by 13.84 percent.

Growth of Large Medium Manufacturing Industry Production in Sumatera Utara Province Quarter I-2019 fell by 3.91 percent (y-on-y). While the growth of the Sumatera Utara Small Micro Industry Quarter I-2019 increased by 14.98 percent (y-on-y).

Large Medium Manufacturing Industry Production Growth Sumatera Utara Province Quarter III-2018, fell by 3.25 percent (y-on-y).

Production Growth of Large Medium Manufacturing Industry in Sumatera Utara Province Quarter IV-2017 up by 10.83 percent (y-on-y). The average growth of Large Industry Medium Sumatera Utara During Year 2017 amounted -3.11 percent while in 2016 amounted to 4.64 percent. Meanwhile, the growth of small micro industries of Sumatera Utara during the year of 2017 amounted to 0.66 percent, while the year 2016 amounted to 10.75 percent.
