Farmer Exchange Rates of Sumatera Utara Province in August 2019 amounted to 96.83

• In August 2019, the Sumatera Utara Province NTP (2012 = 100) was recorded at 96.83 or an increase of 0.15 percent compared to the July 2019 NTP which was 96.68.
• The increase in the FTT in August 2019 was caused by the increase in the FTT of the Food Crop subsector by 0.02 percent, the FTT of the Livestock subsector by 0.98 percent, and the FTT of the Fisheries subsector by 1.43 percent. Whereas the Horticulture Subsector NTP decreased by 0.20 percent, and the People's Plantation Plantation Subsector fell by 0.28 percent.
• Changes in the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) reflect the rural inflation / deflation rate. In August 2019, rural deflation occurred in Sumatera Utara by 0.20 percent. This was caused by the decrease in two household consumption indexes, namely the index of the foodstuffs group by 0.57 percent, and the index of the Education, Recreation and Sports group by 0.04 percent. While the index of the processed food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco group increased by 0.06 percent, the housing group index by 0.13 percent, the clothing group index by 0.23 percent, the health group index by 0.26 percent, and the transportation group index and communication by 0.16 percent.
• Sumatera Utara Province Agricultural Exchange (NTUP) in August 2019 amounted to 107.04 or decreased by 0.09 percent compared to NTUP in the previous month.
