The number of tourists in Sumatera Utara in June 2020 was 99 visits

The number of foreign tourists (tourists) visiting North Sumatra through four entrances in June 2020 reached 99 visits, an increase of 9,800 percent compared to May 2020 which only reached 1 visit. However, when compared with the same month in 2019, the number of foreign tourists in June 2020 decreased by 99.53 percent, from 21,143 visits in June 2019 to 99 visits.

• In June 2020, tourists from Malaysia were the most visitors with 75 visits or 75.76 percent of the total tourists visiting North Sumatra.

• Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of starred hotels in North Sumatra in June 2020 reached an average of 20.12 percent, up 6.30 points compared to May 2020 of 13.82 percent.

• The average length of stay of foreign and Indonesian guests at star hotels in June 2020 reached 1.48 days, or down 0.43 points compared to May 2020.

• The number of domestic passengers departing from North Sumatra via Kualanamu International Airport during June 2020 reached 28,567 people, up 695.07 percent compared to May 2020 which reached 3,953 people.
• The number of passengers of inter-island (domestic) sea transportation in June 2020 recorded 52 people, an increase compared to the previous month of 0 people
