Abstract

The value of exports through loading ports in the North Sumatra region in April 2021 decreased compared to March 2021, from US$1.04 billion to US$1.00 billion or decreased by 3.67 percent. When compared to April 2020, North Sumatra's exports increased by 67.91 percent
  • The category of goods that experienced the largest increase in the value of North Sumatra's exports in April 2021 compared to March 2021 was the coffee, tea and spices group of US$4.42 million (14.39%).
  • Exports to China in April 2021 were the largest at US$158.20 million, followed by the United States at US$135.37 million and India at US$56.70 million with the contribution of the three reaching 34.92 percent.
  • According to the main group of export destinations in April 2021, exports to the Asian region (outside ASEAN) were the largest with a value of US$322.47 million (32.14%)
