Abstract

The value of exports through loading ports in North Sumatra in March 2022 increased compared to February 2022, from US$885.40 million to US$1.26 billion, an increase of 42.96 percent. When compared to March 2021, North Sumatra's exports increased by 21.54 percent.
  • The category of goods that experienced the largest increase in North Sumatra's export value in March 2022 to February 2022 was animal/vegetable fats and oils of US$278.68 million (89.72%).
  • Exports to China in March 2022 were the largest at US$175.74 million, followed by the United States at US$128.41 million and India at US$126.39 million with the contribution of the three reaching 34.02 percent.
  • According to the main group of export destinations in March 2022, exports to the Asian region (outside ASEAN) were the largest with a value of US$518.83 million (40.99%).
