Abstract

The number of foreign tourists (tourists) visiting Sumatera Utara through 4 (four) entrances in March 2023 reached 16,299 visits, while in February 2023 there were 15,241 foreign tourists visiting North Sumatra.
  • During the January - March 2023 period, the number of foreign tourists visiting Sumatera Utara increased by 415,672.73 percent when compared to the same period in 2022, namely from 11 visits in January - March 2022 it rose to 45,735 visits in the 2023 period.
  • The Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of star hotels in Sumatera Utara in March 2023 averaged 45.41 percent, or decreased by 2.09 points compared to February 2023 of 47.50 percent.
  • The average length of stay of foreign guests and Indonesian guests at star-rated hotels was 1.44 days during March 2023, down 0.08 points compared to February 2023 of 1.52 days.
  • The number of domestic passengers departing from Sumatera Utara through Kualanamu International Airport during March 2023 recorded 197,738 people, up 3.69 percent compared to February 2023 which recorded 190,693 people.
  • The number of inter-island (domestic) sea transport passengers departing during March 2023 was recorded at 5,897 people, down 15.99 percent compared to the previous month of 7,019 people.
