Abstract

The value of exports through loading ports in the North Sumatra region in March 2023 decreased compared to February 2023, namely from US$918.41 million to US$910.39 million or decreased by 0.87 percent. When compared to March 2022, North Sumatra's exports decreased by 28.07 percent.
  • The category of goods that experienced the largest decline in export value in March 2023 compared to February 2023 was the animal/vegetable fats and oils, which decreased by US$49.92 million (-11.80%), while the group of goods that experienced the largest increase in export value were various chemical products of US$15.40 million (14.32%).
  • Exports to China in March 2023 were the largest, namely US$155.85 million, followed by the United States of US$97.97 million and India of US$80.69 million with the contribution of the three of them reaching 36.74 percent.
  • According to the main export destination countries in March 2023, exports to the Asian region (outside ASEAN) were the largest with a value of US$361.90 million (39.75%)
