Abstract

The rice harvest area in 2023 is estimated to be around 404.47 thousand hectares, a decrease of 6.99 thousand hectares or 1.70 percent compared to the rice harvest area in 2022 which was 411.46 thousand hectares.
  • Rice production in 2023 is estimated at 2.08 million tons of GKG, a decrease of 7.92 thousand tons of GKG or 0.38 percent compared to rice production in 2022 which was 2.09 million tons of GKG.
  • Rice production in 2023 for food consumption for the population is estimated to be around 1.19 million tons, a decrease of 4.54 thousand tons or 0.38 percent compared to rice production in 2022 which was 1.20 million tons.
