Abstract

The value of exports through loading ports in the North Sumatra region in November 2023 decreased compared to October 2023, namely from US$948.39 million to US$883.86 million or a decrease of 6.80 percent. When compared with November 2022, North Sumatra's exports decreased by 13.84 percent
  • The category of goods that experienced the largest decline in export value was the food industry dregs/waste of US$39.07 million (-44.54%), while the category of goods that experienced the largest increase in export value in November 2023 compared to October 2023 was the rubber and goods from rubber, namely an increase of US$6.39 million (10.40%).
  • Exports to China in November 2023 were the largest, namely US$145.64 million, followed by the United States at US$115.24 million and India at US$81.73 million with the contribution of the three reaching 38.76 percent.
  • According to the group of main export destination countries in November 2023, exports to the Asian region (outside ASEAN) were the largest with a value of US$320.99 million (36.32%).
