Abstract

The number of foreign tourists (wisman) visiting Sumatera Utara through 4 (four) entry points in August 2024 reached 22,261 visits, while in July 2024 there were 22,918 foreign tourists who visited Sumatera Utara.

In the period January - August 2024, the number of foreign tourists visiting Sumatera Utara increased by 23.24 percent when compared to the same period in 2023, namely from 133,272 visits in January - August 2023 to 164,250 visits in the period 2024.

The Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of starred hotels in Sumatera Utara in August 2024 averaged 48.66 percent, or decreased by 0.39 points compared to July 2024 which was 49.05 percent.

The average length of stay of foreign and Indonesian guests at star-rated hotels was 1.35 days during August 2024, up 0.05 points compared to July 2024 which was 1.30 days.
