Abstract

The number of domestic passengers arriving in North Sumatra through Kualanamu International Airport in September 2024 reached 206,099 people, or an increase of 8.85 percent compared to the previous month of 189,341 people.
The number of air passengers to foreign destinations, both using domestic and foreign flights, in September 2024 increased by 5.94 percent compared to August 2024, from 90,201 people to 95,557 people.
The number of inter-island sea transportation passengers (domestic) departing from Belawan Port in September 2024 was recorded at 4,605 people, or a decrease of 52.51 percent compared to the previous month of 9,696 people. Meanwhile, the number of passengers arriving in September 2024 was recorded at 4,140 people, or down 50.57 percent compared to the previous month which was 8,376 people.
During September 2024, inter-island freight transportation for loading activities at Belawan Port reached 43,166 tons, or down 16.92 percent compared to August 2024 which was 51,957 tons. Meanwhile, unloading activities in September 2024 increased by 18.41 percent, from 421,661 tons in August 2024 to 499,301 tons in September 2024.
