Abstract

The export value through loading ports in the Sumatera Utara region in November 2024 increased compared to November 2024, namely from US$957.86 million to US$988.90 million or an increase of 3.24 percent. When compared to December 2023, Sumatera Utara's exports increased by 28.52 percent.
The group of goods that experienced the largest decrease in December 2024 compared to November 2024 was the animal/vegetable fats & oils group, which decreased by US$32.44 million (-8.83%) followed by the soap and cleaning preparations group, which decreased by US$9.33 million (-19.18%). The group of goods that experienced the largest increase in export value was the food industry dregs/waste group, which increased by US$42.54 million (208.63%) and followed by the group of various chemical products, which increased by US$19.86 million (15.20%).
Exports to the United States in December 2024 were the largest at US$148.01 million, followed by China at US$139.19 million and India at US$54.67 million with the contribution of the three reaching 34.57 percent.
According to the main export destination countries in December 2024, exports to the Asian region (outside ASEAN) were the largest with a value of US$345.87 million (34.97%).
