Manufacturing Industry Production Development in Sumatera Utara Province 2020

The Central Bureau of Statistics of North Sumatra periodically conducts the Monthly Large and Medium Industry Survey (SIBS) and the Quarterly Micro and Small Industry Survey (SIMK). These two surveys were conducted to capture the performance of the manufacturing industry sector on a monthly and quarterly basis. As output, the results of these two surveys are presented in the form of quarterly manufacturing industry production index growth which is used to calculate the manufacturing industry growth rate from micro to large scale. This figure is also used as the basis for calculating the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), especially the manufacturing industry sector.
Previous Monthly SIBS and Quarterly SIMK results are released quarterly in the Official Gazette of Statistics. However, in 2020 the release was postponed indefinitely due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This publication on the Development of Manufacturing Industry in North Sumatra Province 2020 is compiled as a Monthly SIBS Activity Report and Quarterly SIMK 2020 which presents the performance of the manufacturing industry according to the two-digit Indonesian Standard Classification of Business Fields (KBLI) 2015 based on the "International Standard Industrial Classification of All Economic Activities (ISIC). )” Revision 4 of 2015.
