Population Projection Sumatera Utara Province by Regency 2020-2050 Result of Population Census 2020

The Regional Government of North Sumatra Province has established a Regional Medium Term Development Plan (RPJMD) of North Sumatra Province for 2022-2027. This RPJMD is part of the development of the first phase of the North Sumatra Province RPJPD for 2025-2045 and is a form of contribution to the implementation of the stages of the 2025-2045 National Long-Term Development Plan (RPJPN) towards Golden Indonesia in 2045. The planning document is a guideline for the Regional Government of Sumatra Province North in carrying out development. The development plan must be equipped with the latest population data and information as well as future forecasts as a basis for evaluating ongoing development and determining future development policies. In addition to the population, information on demographic parameters such as the age structure of the population, birth rate, death rate, and life expectancy at birth are very helpful for accurate development planning. This information can be calculated through population projections.
