BPS as a data provider institution is required to provide reliable data for use by stakeholders. But the future will rely more on administrative data as the main data source. This can be achieved if government agencies and BPS can coordinate in any statistical activities undertaken.
Ideally government agencies that conduct statistical activities coordinate with BPS in the implementation of activities. This has been regulated in government regulations governing the presence of special agencies or fields that coordinate the implementation of sectoral statistics in each agency. So that in every sectoral statistical activity implemented BPS gives recommendations before the implementation of these activities.
Therefore, BPS of North Sumatera Province held this activity to discuss the future agenda of BPS as coordinator of sectoral statistics activities. The material was delivered by resource person, Hanung Wijanarka from BPS RI. This activity lasted for 2 (two) days, from 27 to 28 April 2017 at BPS office of North Sumatera Province. On the first day, the meeting was attended by 8 (eight) participants who were employees of BPS Prov SU. While on the second day, the meeting was attended by 30 Institutions in North Sumatera Province.
