Abstract

Sumatera Utara Consumer Tendency Index (ITK) in the third quarter of 2018 amounted to 97.16, meaning that the economic conditions of consumers in the third quarter of 2018 were no better (pessimistic) compared to the second quarter of 2018. The pessimism of the consumer economy was mainly due to low current income ( index value 95.52)
Compared to ITK in the second quarter of 2018 which was worth 125.05, it means that the level of consumer optimism in the third quarter of 2018 was lower compared to the second quarter of 2018
Compared to provinces in Sumatra, the Sumatera Utara Quarter III-2018 index value is seventh.
The value of ITK in Sumatera Utara in the fourth quarter of 2018 is estimated at 100.12, meaning that the condition of the consumer economy in the fourth quarter of 2018 is estimated to be better than the third quarter of 2018. The level of consumer optimism is driven by the high estimated future income with an index of 104.56
