EXPORT
- The export value through the loading port in the Sumatera Utara region in April 2019 has decreased compared to March 2019, ie from US $ 658.20 million to US $ 607.12 million or a decrease of 7.76 percent. When compared with April 2018, Sumatera Utara's exports decreased by 17.58 percent.
- The increase in Sumatera Utara's export value in April 2019 against March 2019 occurred in the rubber and rubber goods category (HS 40) of US $ 12.31 million (13.94%) followed by various chemical products (HS 38) of US $ 8.27 million (11.53%) and coffee, tea, spices (HS 09) amounting to US $ 5.28 million (14.68%) while the decline in exports occurred in animal / vegetable fats and oils (HS 15) of US $ 64, 35 million (-25.88%) and tobacco (HS 24) of US $ 7.34 million (-29.68%).
- Exports to China in April 2019 were the largest, namely US $ 102.19 million, followed by the United States at US $ 85.21 million and Japan at US $ 43.82 million, with the contribution of the three reaching 38.08 percent.
- According to the group of export destination countries in April 2019, exports to the Asian region (outside ASEAN) are the largest with a value of US $ 232.19 million (38.24 percent).
IMPORT
- Impor The import value through Sumatera Utara in April 2019 on the basis of CIF (cost, insurance & freight) amounted to US $ 417.41 million, an increase of 8.84 percent compared to March 2019 which reached US $ 383.51 million. When compared with the same month in the previous year, the value of imports decreased by 8.44 percent.
- Impor Import value in April 2019 compared to March 2019, capital goods rose by 30.56 percent, raw / auxiliary materials rose by 3.54 percent and consumer goods rose by 36.64 percent.
- In April 2019, the largest group of goods experiencing an increase in import value was plastic and plastic goods (HS 39) of US $ 7.59 million (30.69%), followed by machinery / mechanical aircraft (HS 84) of US $ 7 , 34 million (14.90%). While the categories of goods which experienced the largest decline in import value were inorganic chemicals (HS 28) of US $ 7.17 million (-20.75%) followed by pulp / leftovers from the food industry (HS 23) of US $ 7.06 million (-22, 29%).
- Impor The import value in April 2019 from China was the largest, namely US $ 106.49 million with its role reaching 25.51 percent of Sumatera Utara's total imports, followed by Singapore at US $ 49.87 million (11.95%), and Malaysia at US $ 42 , 58 million (10.20%).
