Abstract

• The number of foreign tourists (tourists) visiting Sumatera Utara through 4 (four) entrances in April 2019 reached 22,037 visits, experiencing an increase of 1.13 percent compared to those arriving in March 2019 reaching 21,791 visits.

• In the April 2019 period, the number of foreign tourists visiting Sumatera Utaraincreased by 17.29 percent compared to the same period in 2018, ie from 18,789 visits in 2018 it rose to 22,037 visits in 2019

• In April 2019, foreign tourists from Malaysia were the most visitors with 10,343 visits or 46.93 percent of the total foreign tourists visiting Sumatera Utara.

• The Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of star hotels in Sumatera Utara in April 2019 reached an average of 49.83 percent, a decrease of 4.61 points compared to March 2019 of 54.44 percent.

• The average length of stay of foreign guests and Indonesian guests in star-rated hotels in April 2019 reached 2.19 days, up 0.29 points compared to March 2019.

• The number of domestic passengers departing from Sumatera Utara via Kualanamu International Airport during April 2019 reached 195,395 people, down 3.41 percent compared to March 2019 which reached 202,298 people.

• The number of inter-island (domestic) sea transport passengers departing in April 2019 was recorded at 11,718 people, up 8.85 percent compared to the previous month's 10,765 people.
