Abstract

• The number of foreign tourists (foreign tourists) visiting Sumatera Utara through 4 (four) entrances in June 2019 reached 21,444 visits, experiencing an increase of 31.97 percent compared to those who arrived in May 2019 to reach 16,249 visits.
• The June 2019 period, the number of tourists visiting Sumatera Utara increased by 11.19 percent compared to the same period in 2018, which was from 19,286 visits in 2018 which rose to 21,444 visits in 2019
• In June 2019, foreign tourists from Malaysia were the most visitors with 7,766 visits or 36.22 percent of the total foreign tourists visiting Sumatera Utara.
• The Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of star hotels in Sumatera Utara in June 2019 reached an average of 49.53 percent, an increase of 9.08 points compared to May 2019 of 40.45 percent.
• The average length of stay of foreign guests and Indonesian guests in star-rated hotels in June 2019 reached 1.92 days, up 0.14 points compared to May 2019.
• The number of domestic passengers departing from Sumatera Utara through Kualanamu International Airport during June 2019 reached 245,820 people, up 57.85 percent compared to May 2019 which reached 155,731 people.
• The number of inter-island (domestic) sea transportation passengers departing in June 2019 was recorded at 25,687 people, up 141.85 percent compared to the previous month's 10,621 people.
