Abstract

• The number of foreign tourists (tourists) visiting North Sumatra through 4 (four) entrances in November 2020 reached 1,366 visits, an increase of 288.07 percent compared to those who came in October 2020, reaching 352 visits.

• In the November 2020 period, the number of foreign tourists visiting North Sumatra decreased by 93.83 percent compared to the same period in 2019, namely from 22,128 visits in 2019 to 1,366 visits in 2020

• In November 2020, foreign tourists from Malaysia were the largest visitors with 13 visits or 0.95 percent of the total foreign tourists visiting North Sumatra.

• Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of star hotels in North Sumatra in November 2020 reached an average of 34.41 percent, or decreased by 1.68 points compared to October 2020 of 36.09 percent.

• The average length of stay for foreign guests and Indonesian guests at star hotels in November 2020 reached 1.51 days, the same when compared to October 2020.

• The number of domestic passengers departing from North Sumatra via Kualanamu International Airport during November 2020 reached 116,956 people, or an increase of 36.73 percent compared to October 2020 which reached 85,537 people.

• The number of (domestic) inter-island sea transport passengers departing in November 2020 was recorded at 1,763 people, an increase of 56.29 percent compared to the previous month of 1,128 people.
