Abstract

• The area of ​​rice harvest in 2020 is 388.59 thousand hectares,
decreased by 24.55 thousand hectares or 5.94
percent compared to 2019 which amounted to 413.14 thousand hectares.
• Rice production in 2020 is 2.04 million tons of dry unhulled rice
milled (GKG), decreased by 38.40 thousand tons
or 1.85 percent compared to 2019 which amounted to 2.08 million
tons of MPD.
• When viewed from the subround, there is a decrease in production
rice in the subround January-April and September-December
2020, namely 11.57 thousand tons of GKG (-1.35
percent) and 54.47 thousand tons of GKG (9.59 percent) compared
2019. The increase only occurred in the May-August subround,
namely 27.64 thousand tons of GKG (4.24 percent).
• If converted into rice for food consumption
population, rice production in 2020 is 1.16 million tons,
decreased by 21.91 thousand tons or 1.85
percent compared to 2019 which amounted to 1.18 million tons.
• Potential rice production in the subround January-April 2021
estimated at 0.95 million tonnes of GKG, an increase
as much as 0.10 million tonnes or 12.57 percent compared
the same subround in 2020 which amounted to 0.85 million tons
MPD.
