Abstract

The value of exports through loading ports in the North Sumatra region in July 2021 increased compared to June 2021, from US$886.50 million to US$993.84 or an increase of 12.11 percent. When compared to July 2020, North Sumatra's exports increased by 38.84 percent.
  • The category of goods that experienced the largest increase in North Sumatra's export value in July 2021 compared to June 2021 was the animal/vegetable fat and oil category of US$152.85 million (50.12%).
  • Exports to the United States in July 2021 were the largest at US$143.70 million, followed by China at US$131.08 million and India at US$67.58 million with the contribution of the three reaching 34.45 percent.
  • According to the main group of export destinations in July 2021, exports to the Asian region (outside ASEAN) were the largest with a value of US$322.64 (32.46%)
