Abstract

The value of exports through loading ports in the North Sumatra region in October 2021 increased compared to September 2021, from US$1.06 billion to US$1.10 billion, an increase of 3.70 percent. When compared to October 2020, North Sumatra's exports increased by 42.72 percent
  • The category of goods that experienced the largest increase in North Sumatra's export value in October 2021 compared to September 2021 was the animal/vegetable fat & oil category of US$68.96 million (14.18%).
  • Exports to China in October 2021 were the largest at US$187.22 million, followed by the United States at US$122.20 million and India at US$64.74 million with the contribution of the three reaching 34.01 percent.
  • According to the main group of export destinations in October 2021, exports to the Asian region (outside ASEAN) were the largest with a value of US$385.24 million (35.01%).
