Abstract

The value of exports through loading ports in the North Sumatra region in October 2021 increased compared to September 2021, from US$1.06 billion to US$1.10 billion, an increase of 3.70 percent. When compared to October 2020, North Sumatra's exports increased by 42.72 percent

The category of goods that experienced the largest increase in North Sumatra's export value in October 2021 compared to September 2021 was the animal/vegetable fat & oil category of US$68.96 million (14.18%).

Exports to China in October 2021 were the largest at US$187.22 million, followed by the United States at US$122.20 million and India at US$64.74 million with the contribution of the three reaching 34.01 percent.

According to the main group of export destinations in October 2021, exports to the Asian region (outside ASEAN) were the largest with a value of US$385.24 million (35.01%).
