Abstract

The value of exports through loading ports in the Sumatera Utara Province region in January 2022 decreased compared to December 2021, from US$1.14 billion to US$956.41 million or decreased by 15.87 percent. When compared to January 2021, North Sumatra's exports increased by 19.67 percent
  • The category of goods that experienced the largest increase in Sumatera Utara Province's export value in January 2022 to December 2021 was the soap and cleaning preparations category of US$7.92 million (22.41%).
  • Exports to the United States in January 2022 were the largest at US$138.16 million, followed by China at US$116.93 million and India at US$84.38 million with the contribution of the three reaching 35.49 percent.
  • According to the main group of export destinations in January 2022, exports to the Asian region (outside ASEAN) were the largest with a value of US$324.98 (33.98%)
