Abstract

The value of exports through loading ports in the Sumatera Utara region in December 2022 decreased compared to November 2022, namely from US$1.02 billion to US$842.86 million or a decrease of 17.83 percent. When compared to December 2021, Sumatera Utara's exports decreased by 25.52 percent
  • The group of goods that experienced the largest decline in export value was the class of animal/vegetable fats and oils, which fell by US$172.67 million (-33.58%). Meanwhile, the category of goods that experienced the largest increase in export value in December 2022 compared to November 2022 was the rubber and rubber goods group of US$13.38 million (24.09%).
  • Exports to China in December 2022 were the largest, namely US$133.07 million, followed by the United States of US$124.80 million and India of US$66.28 million with the contribution of the three of them reaching 38.46 percent.
  • According to the main group of export destinations in December 2022, exports to the Asian region (outside ASEAN) were the largest with a value of US$286.83 million (34.03%).
