Abstract

The number of foreign tourists visiting Sumatera Utara through 3 (three) entry points in May 2025 reached 26,403 visits or increased by 32.36 percent compared to foreign tourists arriving in April 2025 which amounted to 19,948 visits.
In the period January - May 2025, the number of foreign tourists visiting Sumatera Utara increased by 8.39 percent compared to the same period in 2024, namely from 101,138 visits in January - May 2024 to 109,625 visits in the period 2025.
The Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of starred hotels in Sumatera Utara in May 2025 averaged 38.93 percent, or decreased by 1.17 points compared to April 2025 which was 40.10 percent.
The average length of stay of foreign and Indonesian guests at star-rated hotels was 1.09 days during May 2025, or down 0.07 points compared to April 2025 of 1.16 days.
