Analysis of the Condition of the Manufacturing Industry Sector in Sumatera Utara Province 2021

Data related to the manufacturing industry sector is one of the data that continues to be sought to see development progress. Specifically for North Sumatra, the processing industry is one of the important sectors, considering that its contribution to GRDP is in second place, just below the agriculture, forestry and fisheries sectors. Recognizing this, BPS Provisni Sumatra routinely publishes the condition of the manufacturing sector every year. The data source presented in this publication is the processing result of the 2020 Manufacturing Industry Annual Survey. This publication contains the number of large and medium industries, employment and its composition, employee compensation, input costs, output value, added value and labor productivity in the industrial sector in 2020. The data is expected to assist the Government in planning development in various sectors, especially the manufacturing industry sector in the Province of North Sumatra.
