Construction Cost Index in Sumatera Utara Province 2024

This publication is prepared to provide comprehensive information on the level of construction costs in various districts/cities in North Sumatra Province, which is one of the important indicators in evaluating development costs and regional budget allocation policies. The Construction Cost Index (IKK) illustrates the comparison of the level of construction cost costs between a region and the reference city used. In 2024, the reference city used is Banjarmasin City. This IKK includes components of building material costs, heavy equipment rental, and construction service wages, all of which are important for regional development planning. The data presented in this publication was obtained through the Construction Expense Price Survey (SHKK), which includes the price of building materials, heavy equipment rental, and construction service wages collected in the third and fourth quarters of 2023, and the first and second quarters of 2024. The calculation of the IKK also uses data from the Bill of Quantity (BoQ), the Unit Price Analysis Book of the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing, and data on the realization of the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD). Furthermore, the results of the 2024 IKK calculation are one of the main components in calculating the General Allocation Fund (DAU) for the 2025 Fiscal Year.
