Visit of the Governor of Sumatera Utara

On Monday, February 9, 2026, the Governor of Sumatera Utara, Muhammad Bobby Afif Nasution, conducted a working visit to the office of BPS-Statistics Sumatera Utara Province, where he was welcomed by the Head of BPS-Statistics Sumatera Utara Province, Asim Saputra. The visit aimed to discuss several strategic indicators produced by BPS as well as to directly review the facilities and infrastructure at the BPS office. The visit began with the inauguration of the Command Center Room of BPS-Statistics Sumatera Utara Province, which functions as a monitoring and evaluation center for the implementation of the 2026 Economic Census and other statistical activities.

The agenda continued with a discussion on various regional development indicators, including economic growth through the investment and tourism sectors, inflation, the Human Development Index, unemployment, and poverty. In addition, discussions covered the National Integrated Socio-Economic Data, the Integrated Disaster Data which includes Post-Disaster Needs Assessment, the implementation of the 2026 Economic Census, and the utilization of the PASADA portal as a platform for implementing the One Data Sumatera Utara initiative.

The Governor of Sumatera Utara emphasized full support from all regional government agencies for the implementation of the 2026 Economic Census across the entire Sumatera Utara Province. On the occasion, Asim Saputra also expressed his sincere gratitude and highest appreciation for the Governor’s leadership, guidance, and continued support.
