The number of Sumatera Utara foreign tourists in November 2018 was 13,571 visits

• The number of foreign tourists (tourists) visiting Sumatera Utara through 3 (three) entrances in November 2018 reached 13,571 visits, a decrease of 25.79 percent compared to those arriving in October 2018 reaching 18,288 visits. Similarly, when compared to the same month in 2017, the number of foreign tourists in November 2018 decreased by 45.70 percent, from 24,991 visits in November 2017 to 13,571 visits.

• In the period January-November 2018, the number of tourists visiting Sumatera Utara decreased by 17.19 percent compared to the same period in 2017, which was from 242,150 visits in 2017 to 200,530 visits in 2018.

• In November 2018, foreign tourists from Malaysia were the most visitors with 9,327 visits or 68.73 percent of the total foreign tourists visiting Sumatera Utara.

• The Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of star hotels in Sumatera Utara in November 2018 reached an average of 50.54 percent, up 11.70 points compared to October 2018 of 38.84 percent.

• The average length of stay of foreign guests and Indonesian guests in star-rated hotels in November 2018 reached 1.92 days, up 0.26 points compared to October 2018.

• The number of domestic passengers departing from Sumatera Utara through Kualanamu International Airport during November 2018 reached 27,602 people, down 11.22 percent compared to October 2018 which reached 307,051 people.

• The number of inter-island (domestic) sea transportation passengers departing in November 2018 was 3,975 people, up 51.95 percent compared to the previous month with 2,616 people.
