Abstract

• The number of foreign tourists (tourists) visiting North Sumatra through 4 (four) entrances in February 2021 reached 17 visits, an increase of 112.50 percent compared to those who came in January 2021 to reach 8 visits. • In the February 2021 period, the number of foreign tourists visiting North Sumatra has decreased by 99.89 percent compared to the same period in 2020, namely from 15,461 visits in 2020 to 17 visits in 2021 • In February 2021, foreign tourists from Malaysia were the largest visitors with 5 visits or 29.41 percent of the total foreign tourists visiting North Sumatra. • Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of star hotels in North Sumatra in February 2021 reached an average of 36.58 percent, or decreased by 1.0 5 points compared to January 2021 of 37.63 percent. • The average length of stay for foreign guests and Indonesian guests at star hotels in February 2021 reached 1.68 days, a decrease of 0.24 points compared to January 2021. • The number of domestic passengers departing from North Sumatra via Kualanamu International Airport during February 2021 reached 100,191 people, down 36.32 percent compared to January 2021 which reached 157,342 people. • The number of (domestic) inter-island sea transport passengers departing in February 2021 was recorded at 3,036 people, a decrease of 43.03 percent compared to the previous month of 5,329 people.
