Abstract

• The number of foreign tourists visiting North Sumatra through 4 (four) entrances in April 2021 reached 32 visits, a decrease of 43.86 percent compared to those who came in March 2021 which reached 57 visits.

• For the April 2021 period, the number of foreign tourists visiting North Sumatra has increased by 128.57 percent compared to the same period in 2020, from 14 visits in 2020 to 32 visits in 2021.

• In April 2021, foreign tourists from Malaysia were the most visited with 12 visits or 37.50 percent of the total foreign tourists visiting North Sumatra.

• Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) for star hotels in North Sumatra in April 2021 reached an average of 36.96 percent, or decreased by 0.71 points compared to March 2021 of 37.67 percent.

• The average length of stay of foreign guests and Indonesian guests at five-star hotels in April 2021 reached 1.64 days, an increase of 0.20 points compared to March 2021.

• The number of domestic passengers departing from North Sumatra via Kualanamu International Airport during April 2021 reached 119,306 people, down 2.61 percent compared to March 2021 which reached 122,498 people.

• The number of inter-island sea transportation passengers (domestic) departing in April 2021 was recorded at 2,453 people, a decrease of 23.18 percent compared to the previous month of 3,193 people.
