Abstract

The number of foreign tourists visiting North Sumatra through four entrances in June 2021 reached 38 visits, a decrease of 24.00 percent compared to those who came in May 2021 which reached 50 visits.

For the June 2021 period, the number of foreign tourists visiting North Sumatra decreased by 60.00 percent compared to the same period in 2020, from 95 visits in 2020 to 38 visits in 2021.

In June 2021, foreign tourists from Malaysia were the most visited visitors with 16 visits or 42.11 percent of the total foreign tourists visiting North Sumatra.

Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) for star hotels in North Sumatra in June 2021 reached an average of 39.10 percent, or an increase of 5.19 points compared to May 2021 of 33.91 percent.

The average length of stay of foreign guests and Indonesian guests at five-star hotels in June 2021 reached 1.85 days, an increase of 0.27 points compared to May 2021.

The number of domestic passengers departing from North Sumatra via Kualanamu International Airport during June 2021 reached 150,762 people, an increase of 44.07 percent compared to May 2021 which reached 104,644 people.

The number of inter-island sea transport passengers (domestic) departing in June 2021 was recorded at 5,342 people, an increase of 163.80 percent compared to the previous month of 2,025 people.
