The number of foreign tourists from North Sumatra in May 2021 is 50 visits

Abstract

• The number of foreign tourists (tourists) visiting North Sumatra through four entrances in May 2021 reached 50 visits, an increase of 56.25 percent compared to those who came in April 2021 which reached 32 visits.

• For the May 2021 period, the number of foreign tourists visiting North Sumatra increased by 4,900.00 percent compared to the same period in 2020, from 1 visit in 2020 to 50 visits in 2021.

• In May 2021, foreign tourists from Malaysia were the most visited visitors with 17 visits or 34.00 percent of the total foreign tourists visiting North Sumatra.

• Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) for star hotels in North Sumatra in May 2021 reached an average of 33.91 percent, or decreased by 3.05 points compared to April 2021 of 36.96 percent.

• The average length of stay of foreign guests and Indonesian guests at five-star hotels in May 2021 reached 1.58 days, down 0.06 points compared to April 2021.

• The number of domestic passengers departing from North Sumatra via Kualanamu International Airport during May 2021 reached 104,644 people, down 12.29 percent compared to April 2021 which reached 119,306 people.

• The number of inter-island sea transportation passengers (domestic) departing in May 2021 was recorded at 2,025 people, a decrease of 17.45 percent compared to the previous month of 2,453 people.
