Abstract

• The number of foreign tourists (tourists) visiting North Sumatra through four entrances in July 2021 reached 28 visits, a decrease of 26.32 percent compared to those who came in June 2021 which reached 38 visits.

• For the July 2021 period, the number of foreign tourists visiting North Sumatra decreased by 59.42 percent compared to the same period in 2020, from 69 visits in 2020 to 28 visits in 2021.

• In July 2021, foreign tourists from Kyrgyzstan were the most visitors with 10 visits or 35.71 percent of the total foreign tourists visiting North Sumatra.

• Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) for star hotels in North Sumatra in July 2021 reached an average of 29.87 percent, or decreased by 9.23 points compared to June 2021 of 39.10 percent.

• The average length of stay of foreign guests and Indonesian guests at five-star hotels in July 2021 reached 1.56 days, down 0.29 points compared to June 2021.

• The number of domestic passengers departing from North Sumatra via Kualanamu International Airport during July 2021 reached 51,362 people, a decrease of 65.93 percent compared to June 2021 which reached 150,762 people.

• The number of inter-island sea transportation passengers (domestic) departing in July 2021 was recorded at 1,199 people, a decrease of 77.56 percent compared to the previous month of 5,342 people.
