Abstract

The number of foreign tourists (tourists) visiting North Sumatra through 4 (four) entrances in August 2021 reached 4 visits, a decrease of 85.71 percent compared to those who came in July 2021 which reached 28 visits.

In the August 2021 period, the number of foreign tourists visiting North Sumatra decreased by 85.71 percent compared to the same period in 2020, from 28 visits in 2020 down to 4 visits in 2021.

In August 2021, foreign tourists from Singapore were the most visited with 3 visits or 75.00 percent of the total foreign tourists visiting North Sumatra.

The Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) for star hotels in North Sumatra in August 2021 reached an average of 27.43 percent, or decreased by 2.44 points compared to July 2021 of 29.38 percent.

The average length of stay of foreign guests and Indonesian guests at five-star hotels in August 2021 reached 1.57 days, down 0.01 points compared to July 2021.

The number of domestic passengers departing from North Sumatra via Kualanamu International Airport during August 2021 reached 49,453 people, down 3.72 percent compared to July 2021 which reached 51,362 people.

The number of inter-island sea transport passengers (domestic) departing in August 2021 was recorded at 2,138 people, an increase of 78.32 percent compared to the previous month of 1,199 people.
