Human Development Analysis by Gender in Sumatera Utara Province 2023

IPG is a comparison between the Human Development Index (HDI) of men and women seen from the quality of education, health, and economic dimensions. The education dimension uses the expected length of schooling and the average length of schooling, the health dimension uses life expectancy, and the economic dimension uses adjusted per capita expenditure. A IPG figure approaching 100 indicates that women's development achievements are almost the same as men's. However, we need to pay attention to the level of achievement of the HDI of men and women in a region, namely whether they are both high or both low.
